The Intervention Initiative is a free resource with an educational toolkit that has been developed by the University of the West of England (UWE) to be used by universities and colleges for the prevention of sexual coercion and domestic abuse in university settings.
UWE are looking for experienced facilitators in the area of sexual and domestic violence who can deliver the Intervention Initiative. Experience of intervention or public health work, delivering bystander-based programmes, or other relevant teaching/outreach work related to sexual and domestic violence would be ideal.
What is required?
The specific programme is 4 x 2 hour sessions, and will be delivered to UWE’s Engineering undergraduates. As such, this would involve working with primarily male students.
What can facilitators expect?
Training and materials for delivery are provided. Facilitators will also be paid between £40-50 per hour.
You can find out more about the initiative and view the resources at http://www1.uwe.ac.uk/bl/research/interventioninitiative.aspx
