The Joint Forum Against Sexual Violence and Harassment
Bristol Zero Tolerance are proud to be part of the University of the West of England and University of Bristol Joint Forum Against Sexual Violence and Harassment. The Forum is co-chaired by Professor Jane Harrington (Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost at UWE Bristol) and Professor Judith Squires (Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Bristol) and includes senior staff and officers from both universities and students’ unions as well as external representatives from Avon and Somerset Police, Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS), South Gloucestershire Council, Bristol City Council, and The Bridge.
Both universities and student unions are also active and proud partners of the Zero Tolerance initiative, as part of working towards Bristol, a city with a large student population, becoming a city free from gender-based violence, abuse, harassment and exploitation.
In 2018 the Joint Forum was extended to include the University of Bath and Bath Spa University to further share resources and best practice around addressing and tackling sexual violence and harassment within student populations and higher education institutions.
