The UK Government are due to report to the United Nations CEDAW Committee in 2019 to demonstrate their progress on women’s rights since they were last examined in 2013.
CEDAW is the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women which the UK Government agreed to abide by in 1981.

Alongside the Government’s report to the Committee, voluntary sector organisations from across the UK are invited to submit evidence on women’s rights issues for a Shadow Report which informs the Examination.

The Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) will be preparing the CEDAW shadow report for England and will collaborate with Scotland and Wales to produce a UK combined report.
They are looking for submissions to inform the Shadow Report from across the country to give the CEDAW Committee evidence of the position of women in England to use when they examine the UK Government. NB reporting on the period from 2013 to date.
