• LGBT+ event Planning Internship

We’re looking for an enthusiastic intern to support the planning of an event for LGB&T communities in Bristol looking at gender-based violence issues for these communities, in partnership with relevant local organisations and networks.

The main project tasks will be:

    • Create database of LGB&T organisations and networks in Bristol who could be potential partners.
    • Research any relevant events planned in 2017 or for LGBT History Month in February 2018.
    • Contact organisations and networks to find out if they have any relevant events planned.
    • Build relationships with organisations and networks to see if they want to work in partnership on an event with a focus on gender-based violence issues.
    • Develop an event/workshop plan with Charlotte to include in other’s events.
    • Alternatively, a specific event may be planned if appropriate – this will include organizing a venue, content, publicity, marketing etc.

    Project timetable:

The project will commence in June 2017 and is expected to last until September 2017 although this may change. It would be suitable for 1-2 days per week but can be flexible.

Please send a cover letter and CV to maisy@bristolwomensvoice.org.uk by 5pm on Monday 5th June 2017.

Interviews are expected to take place week commencing Monday 12th June 2017.
