The Private Member’s Bill taking place in the House of Commons on Friday 16 December 2016 is a unique opportunity for parliamentarians to take action and #ChangeHerstory to advance a groundbreaking legal tool to prevent, protect against, and prosecute gender-based violence. We would like to thank Kerry McCarthy MP and Thangam Debbonaire MP for their support and assurance that they are attending the vote and supporting the bill. We have contacted other local MPs to ask them to attend the vote and support the bill.

It’s not just the general public that are writing to MPs! Over 60 MPs have written to the Prime Minister, Theresa May, to ask that the Government immediately ratify the Istanbul Convention!
Let’s #ChangeHerstory – The ratification of the Istanbul Convention offers a critical opportunity to ensure the emotional and physical well being of women and girls – it is an issue of humanity not of politics.
